Last night at about 2:00 a.m., I was shaken from sleep by a whirlwind of thoughts. It’s no wonder with so many waking hours spent preparing for 52 Weeks of Impact.
What causes shall we choose? Which charities, community efforts, fundraising? Where can we make the most difference or the greatest social change? To create greater impetus, should we blog? Tweet? Get that Facebook page up? I’d like to simply yell it from the tops of buildings? Can we really do this, or are we crazy? Can we build a small following to help create greater impact? If we do, wow, what difference we all could make! The possibilities are great; the hopes and expectations for 2010 began to overwhelm.
And then, I reminded myself that that’s exactly why we chose our motto. We’ll do what we can do as best we can do, “making the world a better place one week at a time.”
