It is with mixed feelings that I write today — for this will be the last official blog posting on 52 Weeks of Impact.
Though it may sound a cliche, 52 Weeks of Impact has felt like “our baby.” For approximately 1-1/2 years, we’ve watched it crawl through cyberspace, seen it grow and develop friends and popularity, proudly recognized its influence, and stood by while it went through identity crises. Through it all, we’ve loved it.
We learned something from each and every one of our efforts — sometimes about others, and often about ourselves. We learned from each of you who have offered your support, applause, suggestions and own success stories — even those of you who’ve sat in the background and watched each week, we’ve felt your presence and appreciate it. We’ve come to love the little community that’s developed here.
But, it’s time for us to move onward. 52 Weeks of Impact showed us that we CAN do it (each and every one of us) and it helped to give Nils and me a little extra needed courage.
In three short days, we take our next big steps forward when we fly to South Africa to start a new adventure on our farm, Chrysalis Farm. There, we plan to continue on with our impact efforts, but in a somewhat different way: by integrating impact into our day-to-day, moment-by-moment life.
We’d be very happy if you’d follow us as we start our new life and our next endeavors to make the world a better place one moment at a time!
Thank you for being part of our life!
